Expelled: Best Movie of the Year… so far

Expelled

This weekend we watched Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed. All I can say is "wow." This is not only a great movie but probably one of the best made documentaries I have ever seen. The music is great the pacing is great. Ben Stien throws a curve ball in the third act that alone is worth the price of admission. If I didn’t have finals this week I would go see it again.

One of the things that makes this documentary interesting is that Ben Stein is not a Evangelical or even a Christian. He is a somewhat non religious Jew. Most of the people he interviews are not evangelicals either but non religious scientists. One of the most notable is renowned atheist Richard Dawkins .

If you have not had a chance to see this movie yet you simply must find a way to the theater to see it.

    Thomas,

When I use my blogspot (and it asks me about my username), the text confirmation never works. Anyway… here’s what I was trying to post:

I’m glad you enjoyed the movie.

Personally, I thought there were some aesthetic problems. The Wizard of Oz and Planet of the Apes clips didn’t really fit where they were placed. Sometimes the style made it seem a little choppy. But the music WAS good.

As for the content, I think “Expelled” is mainly useful as an introduction, rather than an in-depth look at the debate. Sometimes (especially when he was interviewing “the expelled”) it seemed like he was either hiding something, or didn’t have time to fully investigate the issue.

Altogether, it seems that there were some serious factual issues that were either just not addressed due to lack of time (probably the most likely) or intentional deception (that’s what the EEvolutionists would like you to believe).

Thomas, the spam-blocker thing isn’t working. If you get this, then it’s specifically not working when I put in an OpenID blog link.
