So, where is this courtship blog? Can't find it, which does not surprise me, I cannot find much I am looking for on the internet. But I sure can find lots I am not looking for.

Any way, I am discouraged how our dating model, even in Christian circles, merely prepares us for divorce, and re-marriage. First you find that special someone, hormones flow, hearts are given away, many times more than just hearts are given, hearts are broken, hearts are hardened.

There has got to be a better way.

Looking forward to what you discover about courtship. As parents, we have been encouraged by the weddings we have attended that were proceeded by some very wonderful courtships, watching those courtships, and by the early fruit of those marriages. And, yet we see a Christian community that appears to be stumbling around with how to actually get to that point and what is the true essence of a godly and biblical courtship. And, this stumbling is finding young ladies and young men standing on the sideline and doing a lot of wondering about their purpose in life.

You made a reference in your blog about "pioneering this new approach to marriage". I am not so sure it is new, or we would be pioneering. It may be more of a finding our way to return to something of old. This return to courtship may be a fairly young undertaking and has not been given enough time to determine if it is the best or not.

I do know this, what I am observing in most of today's marriages, divorces, and quality of marriage relationships that have come out of multiple generations of using the dating method of finding a spouse gives me huge concerns about the real effectivness of dating.

Looking forward to hearing and reading more.

Just have to say that I will look forward to hearing and possibly discussing your ideas about courtship. I'm seeing what is beginning to look like pretty big problems with the courtship movement and mentality here in the Midwest.
