I was at the Austin and Houston marches with others from the Austin Rhetoric Club, 5 or 6 from my family and 1000s of others.
Since the mid 1970s, I have been to maybe a thrid of the pro-life marches on the anniversary of Roe v Wade, but have never seen anything like this. In the 70s it was 100s of hopeful. In the 80s numbers were down, in the 90s, about the same... I recall once that maybe 100 were there, and Joe Pojman & Kathey Pendleton the only speakers. Now our numbers are in the thousands, with Senator Dan Patrick, many great speakers, and even Governor Rick Perry as the keynote speaker. In Houston, I estimated around 10,000!
Inspirational, Growing, Amazing... The Spirit of the Lord was there, I know, I felt Him.

Thomas,

I remember picketing the Planned Parenthood near Summit Ministries with you back in the day, and I definitely think putting a stop to abortion is a worthy cause, but I have to say:

Is it just me or does this seem a little sensationalist? Yes, Margaret Sanger was a bigot. Does that mean that Planned Parenthood has some secret agenda of eliminating minorities today? While I'll admit it's within the realm of possibility, I highly doubt it.

It seems to me that the legality of abortion and the presence of abortion clinics are not the issue. The issue is that women are getting pregnant when they don't intend to. If we could stop that, the abortion rate would drop to virtually nil. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. This applies to both pregnancy and abortion.

I don't know why women are getting pregnant when they don't intend to. Lack of education? Lack of access to contraceptives? I suspect there's more to it than that. You know who's in a good position to find out? Crisis pregnancy centers, and, dare I say it, Planned Parenthood.

If we as Christians really want to put a stop to abortion, I think we ought to be volunteering for Planned Parenthood instead of picketing them. Or, if you find that unconscionable, try working with a Christian crisis pregnancy center.

Just my two cents.

Planned Parenthood was founded on racist and eugenic beliefs. Do these beliefs exist today in Planned Parenthood? Check out this film and see for yourself. It exposes Planned Parenthood in a BIG TIME WAY !

Maafa21 : New film exposes Eugenics and Black Genocide from Abortion

Some claim that the abortion issue is about choice, privacy, women’s rights, or reproductive freedom.

But that’s just marketing hype.

In reality, the legalization of abortion was about EUGENICS.

And now, a stunning new movie lays it all out with incredible documentation.

The film is called Maafa 21 and it exposes a plan to create “racial purity” that began 150 years ago and is still being carried out right now.

It’s about the ties between the Nazis, the American eugenics movement and today’s “family planning” cartel.

It’s about elitism, secret agendas, treachery and corruption at the highest levels of political and corporate America.

Maafa 21 will show you things the media has been hiding and politicians don’t want you to know.
So if you’re ready to see the real agenda behind “choice,” fasten your seatbelts …

IT’S SHOCK AND AWE TIME!
