  1. This concept of dating that you speak of could become either a business or nonprofit or something of that nature. Have you ever considered starting a dating website using the principles in your book?

  2. Hey I just finished your book and wow, I’m really glad I read it. I’ve enjoyed your blog over the past year or so and was uncertain if the book would really provide anything new. But I was pleasantly surprised to find myself particularly enjoying the section on practically how to do this “dating” thing. I personally never “dated” and despised it as a teenager/young man. When I encountered the stuff in IKDGB I ate it up like candy. Then I met the woman who would be come my wife. I had no idea what to do and made it up as I went along. First, I told her we would probably be married within the year. I was right, but it probably would have been best to not start like that. Then we became “something” (not dating!). Then I dumped her, because I was freaking out. Then after a while and other circumstances we got back together and decided to stop pretending we were anything other than dating. I really resonated with the line in your book about couples saying they wouldn’t wish their “courtship” on anyone. I’m glad we never did the courting thing exactly, but on the other hand I wish I had better advice back then. I will be using your book to give my son advice that hopefully will be put to good use.

  3. Hi Thomas,
I couldn’t find an email or place to send you a message so I’m just writing it here. Thank you for taking the time to flesh all of this out, to write that initial blog post and to follow up with such a book. It opened my eyes to see how much I am not alone in my thinking about this struggle. Your words have been very helpful and comforting. You have inspired me to talk about own experiences through my own blog series on dating, to try to impact my immediate community and to try to get people talking about this essential part of life.
